Businesses are to be given a greater say in local decision-making after North East Derbyshire District Council became the region’s first authority to sign up to a national pledge.
The council is supporting the new ‘Small Business Engagement Accord’ – a new voluntary code of practice put together by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).
It lays down a set of principles – all designed to improve consultation and communication with the local business community - which NEDDC has now pledged to follow.
